Top 4 MIND BENDING Theories That Will Change Your Reality
Episode|18 min|May 21, 2018
Top 4 Mind Bending Theories That Will Change Your Reality What is the meaning of life, how did it come to be and where are we heading? Such huge questions are to complex for many of us to comprehend. But others have spent their lifes work developing theories to provide the answers. Buckle up because it’s about to get heavy, These are the Top 4 Mind Bending Theories That Will Change Your Reality 4. The Singularity TheoryThe Theory: A term used to describe a moment or point in time when a civilization changes so much, that the technology as well as its general rules become incomprehensible to those living in the previous generations. Singularity can be kick started by a rapid jump in scientific and technological changes. The change will happen so fast and will be deemed so profound that much of what we are and how we function today will be changed drastically. In many ways, it's a point of no return. 3. Simulation TheoryThe Theory:You, me and the entire universe are nothing but a giant simulation run by higher beings who are smarter than we are. What's more, the game is so lifelike we don't even know we exist in it and we will also never find out.The Simulation theory might sound like the main plot to the Matrix but it's also a real scientific theory. While it's been proposed before, it first gained media attention in a 2003 paper by philosopher, Nick Bostrom titled, "Are You Living in a Simulation?" In his paper, he suggests that in the future, humans will be able to create such powerful computers that humans won't be able to distinguish between reality and simulations.2. The Multiverse Probably one of the most popular theories out there, the Multiverse idea is more than a theory but an actual possibility, at least according to physics, the string theory and quantum mechanics. The idea is that the universe we inhabit isn't the only one out there and it's just one of a multitude of universes is mindboggling. If true, there could be an infanint amount of parallel universes and in each one, there's a version of you. How would it be possible for whole other universes or parallel universes to exist? And what signs can we look to in order to find evidence there could be other dimensions we are not aware about?1. Retroactive PrecognitionDoes the future affect your past? Does precognition exist and is it possible for humans to carry them out? Well-respected psychologist, Daryl Bem from Cornell University, recently published a paper showing that precognition capabilities could be a real phenomenon.Titled, "Feeling the Future: Experimental Evidence for Anomalous Retroactive Influences on Cognition and Affect” the paper was published in The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Daryl took well-established psychological tests and reversed the order to determine whether humans have the ability to predict what they would do in the future. So there were the Top 4 Mind Bending Theories That Will Change Your Reality From being a simulation to psychic abilities, these theories still remain as theories right now, but don't be surprised if one day we end up developing ways to actually prove them to be true.Support the show

The great philosopher describes Atlantis as an island bigger than that of Libya that contained an advanced civilization. The island was said to lie beyond the "pillar of Hercules" or what is thought today to be the Strait of Gibraltar. Atlantis was supposedly protected by Poseidon who instilled his son, Atlas, to rule over the kingdom. However, the more power the island acquired, the more their ethics dwindled. The Atlanteans not only had advanced weapons but also said to have conquered various nations including Africa, Egypt and even Tyrrhenia (which is part of todays Italy) before they were eventually driven back. As a result of their moral decline, the island was punished by the divine and endured earthquakes and floods before disappearing complety "in a day and night" by sinking into the ocean. As for where he got the story of Atlantis, Plato said he heard it from his grandfather who heard it from a revered Statesman named, Solon, and who in turn had heard it from an Egyptian priest. This priest then said that the story itself happened 9,000 years ago. #2 Harold HoltHailed as one of the first Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth of Australia, Harold Holt mysteriously disappeared after a swim - never to be found again. He was born to Thomas and Olive Holt on August 5, 1908. Holt spent more than 32 years as part of the parliament, fostering a successful political career in various positions and even serving as a gunner for the Australian military during the war. By 1966, he was elected as the Prime Minister on the Australian platform that was in full support of the US troops being sent into Vietnam. On December 15, 1967, he wrapped up work in Canberra and headed to Melbourne for a short vacation. He drove to Portsea, a small resort town, to relax at his summer home. On December 16 he spent his time relaxing with family and friends. The next morning, Holt spent some time playing with his granddaughter then stepped out with a few friends to watch a European vessel. By midday, the plan was to head to Cheviot Beach, an area Holt had frequented for swimming and spearfishing, to go out for a quick swim.Support the show

They made a stopover in Annapolis, Maryland and It was here on their next leg when they were caught in a fierce storm. The boat was tossed in strong 60-knot winds and huge 40-50 feet swells. Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look.#1 The North Pond HermitFor years urban legends circulated around Maine about a hermit living in it’s dense forests. But little did they know, the story was more than just a legend and was something that was very real. For nearly 27 years, Christopher Knight had no contact with other people. He never spoke to anybody but committed thousands of burglaries in houses around the areas that he roamed. When he was 20 years old, Knight simply took his car, left his family home without saying goodbye and drove off. His road trip took him to Florida and when he drove back, he passed by his hometown of Albion and contined North until he nearly ran out of gas. On that small dirt road, he took his car keys, placed them on the dashboard, reached for a tent he had never used before and trecked into the woods. For two whole years he hiked the land sustaining himself by stealing food from people's gardens and homes. Eventually he came across his ideal site to settle down. People nearby called the area, "The Jarsey." #2 Alien ImplantsAlien implants refer to a foreign physical object that’s placed inside a person' body after they have been taken or abducted by aliens. While many abductees have claimed that implants have been inserted in them, the idea still remains in the realm of science fiction for many. Alien implants first received mainstream attention in 1957 when UFOlogist John Robinson was being interviewed over the radio and he said that a neighbor, claiming to be an alien abductee in 1938, mentioned receiving "small earphones" that were placed behind his ears. Soon after that reports of abductees started pouring in. In 1967, Betty Andreasson said aliens implanted a device in her nose when she was taken. Another woman from Canada also stated having a similar experience during her abduction that occurred in 1983. Roger Leir, a California podiatrist, tried to find proof of these so called alien implants. When he first heard about the phenomenon, he was curious but admittedly skeptical, but wanted to find and study them. Even though it was an unusual move to find people, he managed to get subjects that were willing to undergo surgery in order to retrieve the implants. More than 10 subjects had reported having alien abduction experiences and two of these were Pat Parrinellio (47) and Mary Jones (52). Both were investigated and then referred to Dr. Leir for the possible surgery.Support the show

Born to Polish-American parents in Chicago Illinois, Ted was the eldest of two children. When he was 9 months old he suffered a severe allergic reaction that forced his parents to hospitalize him where he was then placed in isolation. Despite being a baby his mother would write that after he got out of the hospital, even though healthy now, he had become unresponsive and acted as though he was still in isolation. Ted’s elementary years were considered normal by his own account. Then in fifth grade, Ted was skipped two grades ahead for having an IQ of 167 which is well above the genius level. This change had a pivotal impact on him and he began to withdraw – feeling out of place amongst the older kids. Ted was bullied because of his small frame and for being younger. When he entered Harvard University at 16 he studied mathematics and many of his dorm mates described him as a quiet, reserved young man. It was on campus where Ted participated in a questionable psychological experiment put together by Henry Murray. The test subjects were told they would be debating personal philosophy with other students but instead they were subjected to "personally abusive attacks." It's believed that his participation in the experiment was a crucial trigger point for Ted's actions later in life.#2 Pizza GateAlthough it's been widely debunked, Pizza Gate nevertheless caused havoc, suspicion and even led to one shooting incident. Pizza Gate revolved around the conspiracy theory that various Washington officials, particularly Hilary Clinton and her campaign manager, John Podesta, were involved in a widespread pedophile ring. Meanwhile, the pizza restruant chain, Comet Ping Pong became central in the conspiracy because it had been used for DNC fundraisers and had close ties with the Democratic Party. Pizza Gate alleges that the building was the exact location of the pedophile ring, most likely because its owner, James Alefantis is closely identified with right wing politics and was even named as one of Washington D.C.'s top 50 most powerful men. The idea first sprouted in October 2016, near the end of the Presidential Election. A Twitter account linked to a white supremacist group claimed that the NYPD had seized Anthony Wiener's laptop during the sexting scandal he was involved in and discovered a pedophilia ring that was tied to the Democratic Party. Soon, attention and interest turned to John Podesta's emails that were leaked alongside Hillary's.Support the show

4 HORROR MOVIES Based On REAL EVENTS
Episode|17 min|Apr 16, 2018
4 HORROR MOVIES BASED ON REAL EVENTSWe watch horror movies because we get the thrill of being scared all while knowing deep down that it’s just a movie and we’re in no real danger. But sometimes, what we’re viewing actually has deep roots in real life. And in the following cases, the true stories are much scarier than the films could ever be. These are 4 Horror Movies Based on Real Events. 4. Borderland Based on Adolfo de Jesus ConstanzoBorderland was a 2007 film by Zev Berman that told the tale of a group of American college students escaping to Mexico for spring break. There, they run into a bizarre set of characters as one of their friends is kidnapped, tortured and then mutilated. They soon realize they're dealing with more than just kidnappers but also a powerful cult/drug gang, headed by an American serial killer. The friends struggle to survive as they are hunted and killed off one by one. The movie Borderland is scary, and part of it actually happened in real life.Known as "Los Narcosatánicos," Adolfo de Jesus Constanzo was a Cuban-American serial killer, drug dealer and religious cult leader who abducted and murdered, Mark Kilroy Jr., a University of Texas student when he was visiting Mexico for spring break in 1989. 3. The Haunting in Connecticut Based on Al and Carmen SnedekerDirected by Peter Cornwell and released in 2009, The Haunting in Connecticut was released to a moderately successful box-office opening. It told the story of the Campbells as they move into a new home to be near a hospital where their cancer-stricken son would be treated. Little did they know, the new house once served as mortuary until it's traumatic past starts manifesting in violent ways on the family. While it made for a good scary movie, a real life family in Connecticut suffered through much the same experiences as the fictional Campbells. 2. The Entity Based on Doris Bither While The Poltergeist was enjoying box office success, another, lesser-known movie was released at the same time that dealt with a similar theme. Starring award winning actor, Barbara Hershey, the film was called The Entity. It told the story of a young mother named Carla Morran whose life was changed after being repeatedly attacked by unseen forces in her home. In real life, the story of Carla was inspired from the true story of Doris Bither. Her story also inspired the popular book by Frank De Felitta in 1978 titled The Entity, which was in turn, turned into the movie. Doris had a young daughter and three sons living with her in Culver City. Soon after she moved in, an elderly lady knocked on her door and told her to leave the house saying she used to live there as a little girl and that there's was something evil within. While she was shocked at the warning, she did not leave. 1. The Girl Next Door Based on Sylvia LikensBased of Jack Ketchum's 1989 book The Girl Next Door, the movie of the same name focuses on the story of a girl named Meg and her sister Susan Loughlin. When their parents died, the sisters were sent to live with their Aunt Ruth and her three sons, Willie, Ralphie and Donny. But it was here when her nightmare would begin. Meg was tortured, raped, beaten and mutilated by her Aunt and her sons. A neighbor named David tried to help her escape but to no avail. People who have seen the movie both praise it and hate it. The graphic depiction of the crimes and the brutality doled out on Meg is difficult to watch. Yet, what's even more horrifying is that the story is actually a fictionalized account of a true story that happened to a girl named Sylvia Likens.here were 4 HORROR MOVIES BASED ON REAL EVENTSIt's one thing to find horror movies entertaining but when you realize that much of what you've seen or are watching could be partly true, the term entertainment just takes on a sinister meaning.Support the show
