Get your hand grenade cocktail ready because we're heading to the glorious city of New Orleans to pick apart queer director Bill Condon's(!) 1995 slasher sequel Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh! Joining us for the discussion is renowned professor and national speaker Doctor Jon Paul Higgins!

As we walk along the parade route, we'll discuss the oft-used white savior trope (Seth Cohen's mom really wants to save these black teens!), family secrets involving mixed race genealogy and the always welcome presence of Tony Todd.

Plus, lengthy shots of a snow cones, atrocious mid-'90s CGI, magic mirrors and the film's odd decision to double down on black pain. Oh, and why is this New Orleans school open on Mardi Gras?

We're kicking off the holiday season by hunkering down in a snow globe with YouTube star Bobby Torrez and a screening of Michael Dougherty's Krampus (2015).

The film has an all-star cast (Toni Collette! Adam Scott! Allison Tolman! David Koechner!), but doesn't manage to nail its balance of tones like Trick 'r Treat did. Thankfully the film has a great score (suck it Joe!) and a fantastically unnerving jack in the box named Der Klown, who Trace cannot stop jizzing over. Plus: Krampus as an LGBT icon, why the holidays are hard for queers, and lesbian-coded twins.

Our Angel of Death awaits as we enter the dark streets of Gotham City to discuss the first (and only?) Batman slasher film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm! Joining us for the discussion is Batman expert (and all-around swell gal) Lindsay Traves!

We'll delve into the film's rushed production and failure at the box office. Joe compares the Bruce/Andrea romance to a similar one in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Lindsay gives her reading on the romantic (or sexual?) relationship between Batman and the Joker.

We'll also highlight the importance of having an openly gay actor (Kevin Conroy) voice Batman, lament the inherent gatekeep-iness of comics and have a grand ol' time pitching the live-action casting of Andrea Beaumont.

Plus, Joker = horror (and plenty of Mark Hamill praise), balaclavas vs. bolas, Tia Carrere and Trace confesses one of his incredibly embarrassing high school horror stories. Oh, and masturbating to video game characters, because why not?
