Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast

It's an EMT pick this week, EMTs! We're discussing the 1989 grocery store-based horror film "Intruder." Special topics for your consideration include: an exciting Estevez development, sick reggaeton beats, our hopes for the geopolitical future of North America (c'mon Canada, we're waiting for you!), being the surprising nephew of a famous writer, and the lamentable position of being just smart enough to not be stupid-- it's rough.

In this week's episode, we're just completely rolling around in the weirdness of Dario Argento's 1985 insect-and-baby-Jennifer-Connelly-filled film "Phenomena" and frankly, WOW. Special topics for your consideration include: a rousing game of Argento bingo, a little bit of bug math, runner up patron saint of the podcast Donald Pleasence, the worst possible intro to a Penthouse letter and a box of smallish Swiss flags. 

Oh, Dario. You can hear a lot of talk about him in Episode 23- "Suspiria," Episode 84- "Demons," Episode 185- "Deep Red," Episode 306- "Tenebrae," and Episode 325- The Bird with the Crystal Plumage."

In this week's episode, we're discussing the 1995 horror anthology by one of our own, a good Pittsburgh guy, Rusty Cundieff-- it's "Tales from the Hood." Special topics for your consideration include: having believed that a distressing film was actually going to be a comedy before you saw it AGAIN, acceptable euphemisms for urination, poorly planned interventions by educators, anatomy that deserves its own billing, the new "Jackass film" and our sieve-like memories, and of course, the SHIT.

Episode 21- "Creepshow," Episode 68- "Trick r Treat," Episode 102- "Holidays," Episode 132- "Tales from the Darkside," Episode 178- "The Twilight Zone," and Episode 249- "Creepshow 2." And just for fun, do you like it when Katie expects a comedy and is devastated by dramatic events? You may enjoy Episode 266- "The Loved Ones." 

Into movies about exorcisms? You can listen to us discuss the greatest in Episode 155- "The Exorcist." You can hear us talk about some others that are not the greatest in Episode 63- "The Taking of Deborah Logan," Episode 90- "Amityville II: The Possession," Episode 96- "The Conjuring" and Episode 333- "The Conjuring 2." Actually, scratch that. The best exorcism movie is Episode 225- "Beetlejuice."

Children's books are weird. You can hear us discuss a movie about one in Episode 11- "The Babadook" and discuss a movie based on one in Episode 82- "Coraline."

In this week's episode, we're venturing into the world of eco-friendly, sustainable, and also anthropomorphic clothing with the 2021 film "Slaxx." Special topics for your consideration include: the OG terribly pretentious clothing store that was (is?) American Apparel, influencers, Team Craig I guess, pants that look like people, famous inventors and a film that is just utterly full of surprises. And hey! This is our 365th episode which is a FULL YEAR of Werewolf Ambulance (not including our maternity break clip shows and our pandemic bonus episodes)! Man, you guys are really getting your free's worth. 

I can only think of one other movie we've covered in which the main bad guy is an inanimate object, dolls and puppets notwithstanding. It's Episode 112- "Christine."
