Clown in a Cornfield Review! Is the Slasher Back? Bonus Episode!
Released on 06/05/2025
In this episode of The Horror Comedy Hangout, Chris and Jess review the blood-soaked, laugh-filled horror comedy Clown in a Cornfield, directed by Eli Craig (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil) and based on the bestselling novel by Adam Cesare. This small-town slasher blends brutal kills with biting satire, and we had an absolute blast watching (and talking about) it!
We break down the movie’s story, characters, and scares—plus how it balances horror and humor. Is this the next cult classic? Does Eli Craig deliver another genre gem? We’ve got thoughts!
Then we pit three terrifying clowns against each other: Pennywise from IT, Art the Clown from Terrifier, and Friendo, the masked maniac from Clown in a Cornfield. Who’s the creepiest? Who’s the funniest? It’s a Clown Showdown!

Death of a Unicorn Movie Review - Do Unicorns Make Movie Magic? Nope!
Released on 05/22/2025
We just dropped our Death of a Unicorn review, and y’all… this horror movie tries to be a comedy, fantasy, satire, and kinda fumbles them all. We were pumped for Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, and magical healing unicorn blood (yes, really), but this film left us more confused than enchanted.
If you love weird horror comedies, this might still be your thing — but for us, Death of a Unicorn was more fizzle than sparkle.
The horror shows up late, the laughs feel forced, and the tone is all over the place. Still, we break down what worked (Anthony Carrigan, you're the king) and what totally didn’t in our latest horror comedy review on The Horror Comedy Hangout. 🩸🦄 Final rating: 2.5 out of 5 Screaming Smiles!
