Dan's  first story is about South Korea’s The Elevator Game. Is this nothing more than an urban legend? Or could this modern encounter story I’ll be sharing possibly be true? Could performing this elevator-based ritual somehow allow you to enter what sounds like Hell? The next story  is the legend of The Curse of Ca’Dario. A Venetian mansion, built in the late 15th century, that might actually be cursed or at least extremely haunted.  Lynze will explore predictive dreams, a concept that seems to rarely come up on STDP, in her first story.  It's hard to know when dreams are telling us the future or predicting or are just coincidental. The final story of this week is a creepy cabin tale. A man takes some time away from his life to find himself but does he find so much more than he bargained for?

Dan kicks off this episode of Scared To Death with the lore of the Boo Hag or the Old Hag Syndrome. Is this a terrifying experince that can be explained away by sleep paralysis or is it more sinister than that? Then we are headed to the border for a collection of short stories about various encounters with spirits and sightings.  Lynze finishes up the show with a tale of one woman's connection to the other side as it pertains to her co-habitants at the nursing home she resides in. She also has a tale about dreams and what may come to us in our dreams- is it real or is it a shared experience or is it just a dream?

The first of Dan's stories is a very strange urban legend that someone posting a modern encounter story thinks is all too real. The strange, twisted legend of Kansas’s Hamburger Man. For the second story, we explore the rich paranormal history of Cornwall, England’s Bodmin Moor, focusing mainly on the old Bodmin Jail located at the edge of this large, preserved, mostly undeveloped land expanse of land. Lynze shares two spoopy tales too! Her first one explores the age old concept of making a deal with the devil. It's a bizarre tale and will make you scratch your head, for sure. Finishing out this weeks episode is haunted college campus. We haven't a haunted campus in quite some time, this one is fun!

The first tale Dan has is one that scared Dan and Lynze more than any other story has  in awhile. It’s a story about what seems to be a particularly deadly cursed object.  It’s a random tale from a random forum - no real documentation with it.  The second story shows up all over the place. The lore of the Toronto Tunnel Monster. Does a cryptid - or do multiple cryptids - dwell in the elaborate and massive system of tunnels that lie beneath Toronto? Lynze is back to to her two usual tales, sort of. The first story is actual two from the same person. A young girl seems to be in touch with the other side and two tales, one of astral projection and one of premonitions show examples of the this girls connections to the other side.

The first of Dan's stories this week is the more documented of the two. Dan will be taking everyone to the late 1930s, and to the Greater London area of England, to examine the haunting of Alma Fielding. In 1938, Alma Fielding, a 34-year-old housewife in Thornton Heath, a southern suburb of London, went to the press complaining of a poltergeist having invaded her home. Many, many people witnessed intense paranormal activity centered around Alma. The second story is the tale of a 19th century South Carolina woman who seems to have suffered an incredibly tragic death when she was accidentally buried alive. Does the ghost of Julia Legare still haunt her family’s tomb on Edisto Island, South Carolina? Lynze's portion of the show is made up of four small stories: a skin walker, a ghost, a self driving school bus and the woman in the mirror! Enjoy!

Dan has some fun in store this week! One tale is a little more traditional, and packed with a lot of good scares, and one that is very, VERY strange. The first is the story of  Lake Morena Campground, in Campo, California. An area of the outdoors that has been rumored to be haunted for decades. I’ll share some lore and an intense modern encounter story. The second story is the sorcerers of Chiloé . In 1880, on an island off the coast of Chile, several residents were convicted of belonging to a secret society of warlocks using black magic to intimidate and in some cases, even murder. The trial uncovered some very, VERY strange local lore involving monsters, wizard duels, and ghost ship, and more. Lynze and her fan tales take us back to The Crescent Hotel with an odd tale of exploring what lingers there. Then in her last story, her fan story is surrounded in grief and sadness but who said the spoops couldn't also be sad.

Dan has his normal two tales this week.  The first is the story of East Bethany, New York’s Rolling Hills Asylum. He will cover its history, haunted lore, and a more detailed and disturbing encounter tale involving a former employee and patient. Then, we go one state over, and a couple hundred years back into the past to tell the story of Elizabeth Knapp’s supposed demonic possession in Groton, Massachusetts in 1671-1672, two decades before the Salem Witch Trials.  Lynze will share three tales this week! Bad Magic Productions Monthly Patreon Donation: This month, we wanted to donate to the victims and their families of the recent mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvlade and Highland Park. That said, we knew it would be a challenge to pick one of the other. We decided to donate to the National Compassion fund, whose mission is to give funds to the victims of mass casualty crimes, such as mass shootings and terrorist attacks. The truth is, there are so many charities for all of the awful things that happen in the world and we were looking to give money to place that could best use the funds to help as many people as possible. Dan has one of the most terrifying stories he has had in a while. Four residents of a memory care clinic die under rather suspicious circumstances in close proximity to one another and all after seeing a little boy with black eyes outside their window. Then in his second story,  we go with Dan as he explores the haunted tales of the rooms at the Battery Carriage House Inn. Lynze has one big tale this week. It all seems to start with a disgruntled family member who may have placed a curse upon another family member. The sighting of the hat man would be the first confirmation that more than one family member is seeing things they had not seen before. The plot thickens from there!

Episode Notes:   Dan will have his usual two stories this week The first story follows a young man who decides to take a trip on LSD and ultimately, it costs his friend his life. But not how you think.  The second  story is set in Wisconsin -  the ghosts of Jay Road. A couple of possible deaths where the killers were never held responsible for their crimes seems to have led to some intense paranormal energy that still lingers in the area powerfully to this day. Lynze has a tale about a hat man who is not the usual kind of hat man. Perhaps he morphed into something else to wreak havoc on this young boy. Then,  a teenage boy gives into his girlfriend  and agrees to play with a spirit board. When that goes sideways, he regrets it.

Episode Notes:  Dan has his normal two tales.  First we head to London to familiarize ourselves with the story of the Battersea Poltergeist. This case of one family’s reports of ongoing paranormal activity got a lot of press back in the late 1950s. Recently, it’s garnered interest again!  Next, we’ll head to Sao  Paulo’s, Dream Beach. A mix of horror lore and a modern encounter tale that is very creepy and entertaining.  Lynze shares the bizarre, sad and spooky tale of a nun who becomes pregnant and is forced to give up her baby, despite not wanting to. St. Ann's Retreat proves to be anything but a retreat. Then for her second tale, picking up where Dan left off on a previous story, Lynze also shares a tale of an awful curse!
