Old Gods of Appalachia

Well hey there, family. Old Gods of Appalachia is on a short break before the final story arc of season six begins, and will return on July 30th, 2026. But we can’t leave our family hanging for too long, so we have a special treat for y’all — a story from some cousins who spin their tales in the dark of night — a podcast called Spooked. It’s full of spirit and magic, and is hosted by our good friend Glynn Washington. Spooked features true-life supernatural stories, told firsthand by people who can barely believe it happened themselves, and every story has an original score. So come with us, family, and explore a little place called… Dismal Falls.

There are some places, deep in the woods, far away from civilization, that are magical. Chuck is hiking deep in the Appalachian woods when he stumbles upon one of these places: Dismal Falls. But Dismal Falls isn’t all fairies and rainbows. It’s a place of dark magic.
