Drunk in a Graveyard

Episode 140 of the Drunk in a Graveyard horror podcast features a return to us being sluts for A24, and we are chatting about 2019 crime thriller "Uncut Gems" directed by the Safdie brothers and starring Adam Sandler. This film is currently receiving critical praise for it's relentless anxiety inducing soundscape, and the acting of Adam Sandler - how does it match up to our expectations? You will have to listen to find out. We were very happy that the Kamloops Film Society brought in this film for some screenings.
We also share some weird news about ghost ships, some Creeps of the Week (TM), HBO's Watchmen, punching your boyfriend on New Year's, flesh hungry cats, and meth where it shouldn't be.

Episode 139 of the Drunk in a Graveyard horror podcast finds Scotty and Robin haunted by an impulse buy from the discount rack as they discuss A24's British neo-giallo horror comedy "IN FABRIC", which is about a killer dress.
There's bizarre news about sex tortoise's, American Horror Story being renewed for some reason, snakes where they shouldn't be, masturbating while the police watch, Wal-Mart sword duels and more.

This week also marks a special occasion - the first ever Drunk in a Graveyard VODcast where the podcast is streamed in a video format over on our Twitch channel. It's remake vs remake this week as Robin and Scott talk about Nicolas Pesce's newest adaptation of the Grudge as well as the American remake from 2004. Think of it as a compare and contrast sort of thing. After getting all the grudge out, your hosts take a dive into the news hole and pull out stories about extremely large tape worms, the murder of a priest that sounds like a S. Craig Zahler script, the almost decade long wait for the bronze Robocop statue in Detroit and more messy stuff you're sure to dig.

Episode 135 marks the first episode of the 2019 Christmas season, and appropriately the crew is chatting about newly released British zombie Christmas musical - "Anna And The Apocalypse" starring Thoros of Myr from Game of Thrones as an evil headmaster Snidely Whiplash type, featuring Glee-esque tracks about killing zombies. This film is a fun 90 minute holiday romp with enough Evil Dead-esque gore to keep the gore hounds impressed. After that the crew takes a dive into the news bag and comes back with stories about UFOs in Brazil, getting your burrito burgled, emotional support roosters, garlic where it doesn't belong, and turning the nail salon into a butcher shop.
