We continue our Scream discussion by concluding the story of Danny Rolling aka the Gainesville Ripper; We talk about how it inspired the original Scream; We also discuss the 1996 classic film, as well as the franchise as a whole, and how it changed the game and defined 90's era horror.

The beloved slasher franchise is back for another round after an 11-year hiatus and it is sweeping the nation. So naturally, the Horror You Know crew is getting in on the bloody fun. We review, discuss and break down the brand new Scream (2022) — Or Scream 5... Or maybe it's 5cream? 

We also begin the story of the Gainesville Ripper — the real-life serial killer whose murder spree inspired the original Scream film. So hit Play and let it rip!

Poltergeist is an American 1982 supernatural horror film, directed by Tobe Hooper, produced by Steven Spielberg, and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on June 4, 1982. It is the first and most successful of the Poltergeist film trilogy, and was nominated for three Academy Awards.  We are going to take a look at the real poltergeist that inspired the film and then discuss this award worthy film at length.  Come along as we dish on this classic spooky tale.

In our final episode of 2021, Darrin and Trent reflect one more time on the Holiday Season by discussing the 1974 slasher hit Black Christmas. They go over the famous urban legend that inspired the film and some of the true stories that inspired the legend. They also wax nostalgic by sharing some of their favorite Christmas traditions, some personal Christmas stories, and engage in the age-old debate — what truly constitutes a Christmas movie? Can a Christmas movie just take place during the holiday or does Christmas need to drive the plot? Weigh in with your thoughts! This week we go over the extremely polarizing film, Malignant, and the disgusting ideas that inspired it. This was taped in Trent’s garage making a hollow sound with the mics. However, the episode is really good, so suck it Trebek!
