Episode 27 - HALLOWEEN KILLS (2021), ft. Jamie
Released on 04/13/2022
Jemi and Taylor are joined by Jemi's brother Jamie to get uncharacteristically mean while discussing the most recent entry into the HALLOWEEN franchise. We still love you, Jamie Lee.

Episode 25 - MALIGNANT (2021)
Released on 03/16/2022
We love weird, insane garbage on The Final Girl Files, and James Wan sure did give us some of that in last year's MALIGNANT.Â
TRIGGER WARNING: Domestic violence, body horror, miscarriage and infertility.

Episode 24 - THE RED QUEEN KILLS SEVEN TIMES (1972)
Released on 03/02/2022
On this, our first foray into the world of giallo, we went with a slightly lesser-known choice. It's a gothic giallo where a couple of poorly dubbed sisters are running around their spooky old house being chased by a masked killer who's incredibly dedicated to the #aesthetic of the whole thing. Taylor and Jemi unpack the movie's choice to include bats on a string, the confusing amount of sisters, and the fact that most of the women in this movie are functionally interchangeable.

Episode 23 - READY OR NOT (2019)
Released on 02/16/2022
Is there any better horror movie about class warfare? The answer is no, because no other horror movie about class warfare features Samara Weaving in a blood-stained wedding dress. It's called feral women cinema, my dude. Look it up.

Episode 22 - HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (2003)
Released on 02/02/2022
Taylor and Jemi dive deep into Rob Zombie's feature film debut, a movie which dares to ask the question "What if there was a family that was, just... really fucked up?" This episode is presented with apologies to Sheri Moon Zombie for repeatedly objectifying her, but in our defense, that's just the power that Baby Firefly has over gay women.Â

Episode 21 - THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (1974), ft. Jace
Released on 01/19/2022
Taylor and Jemi are joined by their second sibling guest, Jemi's brother Jace, who brings to the table his favorite horror movie of all time. It's the movie we shamelessly ripped our podcast's tagline from, and it's arguably the very first slasher film, so of course we spent a good chunk of the runtime discussing unrelated tangents. But what else did you expect from The Final Girl Files? Serious film analysis? Psh. Yeah, right. You're here to hear us talk about Gunnar Hansen greening out on set and you know it.Â

Episode 20 - A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1984)
Released on 12/22/2021
Now, you might be asking yourself, "Why is this horror podcast discussing this definitely-not-a-horror-movie?" To that I insist you watch this particular adaptation of A Christmas Carol again, because holy shit is this thing as close to a horror movie as any adaptation of the Dickens novel has gotten. Seriously, just look at the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come or that weird shit Jacob Marley does with his jaw and try to argue that this isn't a horror movie. You can't. Also we just really wanted to talk about it, and to quote a pair of very funny drag queens, this is our show and not yours. We hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
We also did some actual film analysis this time around, imagine that! We did end up discussing BDSM at one point, though. Also Taylor went on a diatribe about how she thinks the Ghost of Christmas Present is a snack. So you still get your regularly scheduled chaos. Don't fret, dear listener.

Episode 19 - THE CONJURING 2 (2016)
Released on 12/08/2021
Once again we are worshipping at the altar of the heterosexuals. This is first and foremost a fictional Ed and Lorraine Warren stan podcast, so keep that in mind before you listen to the two of us spend about 5 minutes tops discussing the content of the film and the actual horror elements and the rest of the time cooing over how cute our two leads are. They are the het ship to end all het ships, and that's final.Â
Also, Bonnie Aarons pls guest on the show for an autism girls vibe hour. We're nice we prommy.

Episode 18 - SUSPIRIA (1977), ft. Haley Runco
Released on 11/24/2021
One thing you gotta know is that it’s still #HotWitchNovember, and to wrap up this most magical of months we present you with our discussion of 1977’s SUSPIRIA, a movie about insane dubbing, wolf dogs, and witches being bitches. Yes, Jemi went the entire episode talking about a school full of witches without bringing up WandaVision. We’re shocked too!
