Welcome to another episode of Don’t Read the Latin, this one is all about gothic horror: what constitutes it, what’s good, what’s bad. It’s a lively discussion with Jennifer, Jillian Venters of Gothic Charm School, and Rhias Hall from Scarecrow Video, who we’d like to officially welcome as our new co-host!

It’s been a while, but we’re back in full swing just in time to do our 2017 review! We didn’t get to see as many movies that we wanted to, but that won’t stop us from talking about what we did see. This episode Jennifer is joined by Rhias Hall from Scarecrow Video, Jillian Venters of Gothic Charm School, and Handsome Boyfriend Jim to talk about what they liked (and a little about what they didn’t) in 2017 horror.

While this subject has been tackled in a previous episode, new voices on the show bring new conversations and new viewpoints, so this is the first of a few topics that we might be revisiting in the future to get fresh perspectives.

Welcome back! This episode marks a new, exciting time for Don’t Read the Latin, as Michael Montoure has decided to step back from co-hosting for now as he has a lot on his plate at the moment. Jennifer Lovely is still happily here, though, discussing horror movies and her love of them, and each episode will have a rotating cast of co-hosts joining her. There will be many of the voices you’ve heard in previous episodes, and we can all look forward to some new ones joining the mix, too!
