Two couples set out for a brief New Orleans vacation from the East Coast and end up taking a brief tour of a Louisiana plantation on the way. One of the women, Sara, ventures into one of the old slave cabins and is drawn into a terrifying encounter with spirits from the past. Left reeling from the troubling incident she is compelled to remain to unravel that which is reaching out to her with such force that it consumes her every thought while the others continue their trip. In the interim she is compelled to enlist the aid of a roguish womanizer whom she neither likes nor trusts but is her only hope of ever finding closure for her situation and the nightmares that begin to plague her. In the end it's not only her sanity but her very life that is in jeopardy. "
