Why are children the first to hear bumps in the night? Why do they fear monsters hiding in their closets? Are there really monsters in their closets? Why do some children develop imaginary friends? Why do they have a clear description of their appearances? Why do they do bad things and blame them on their imaginary friends? At what point do they disappear? Do they ever disappear? Why do we talk to ourselves when we’re alone? Why do we answer? Is it because we subconsciously know that there is someone else in the room with us? Charlie Ramsey experimented hallucinogenic drugs and unlocked a door he wishes remained closed. Through it returned a spectre from his past along with dark deeds he’d forgotten about. While he tries to close that door, his friend Emma becomes obsessed with keeping that door open... ...and that’s when the terror begins.
