It’s 2054 and the Government, corrupt as ever, does not have the resources to pay for an expanding welfare state and an ageing population and so resorts to disposing of those who are considered a drain on the rest of tax-paying humanity. Andi, who in 2014 has a boring job with the civil service, becomes part of a new identity programme being set up by the Government, which is destined to turn into the system behind the massive culling operation. One night she discovers that she can astral time-travel and that she is a Player, one of a small group of people with the ability to change the future for the better. Kevin is a large, shaggy looking American hippy from the 1970’s whose astral cord has been severed and who is seemingly stuck in between life and death for ever. Together, in between battling unknown enemies and succumbing to a mutual attraction, the two unlikely heroes set out to save humanity.
