About the Author

Maighread MacKay is an author and visual artist fromOntario, Canada.  She is a member of theWriter's Community of Durham Region (WCDR). Her publishing credits include three books for children:   Bedtime Treasures, The Mysterious Door and theCrystal Grove written under the name of Margaret Hefferman. Her adult novels include the Lake Scugog Mysteries series; Stone Cottage, Murder at Mother's and The Haunting of Hawk's Ridge Hall. She was included in the 2015 Christmas Soup for the Soul: Merry Christmas edition with her story"Being Santa" as well as Chicken Soup for the Soul: Confident and Curvy with her story "A Unique Vessel".
