When Vincent Lavoie and Mathis Algiers are released from prison, after nearly twenty years; they resume their quest to find Beau Warsknof, the FBI agent responsible for their arrest. They believe he ran off with Vincent's niece. Mathis encourages his nephew Avery, to write a story on border crimes using Vincent as his source. This leads to another shoot-out at the Warsknof Ranch. Avery confronts Mathis after finding out he'd been used. Mathis is forced to help Avery out of the mess he has gotten him into. Even after running to Lawton, Oklahoma, they still aren't safe. Men are sent down from Canada to follow them looking for Beau. And this time, they are playing for keeps.
