About the Author

Alexandra Collard formulated the idea for this book in the early 1970's after hiking parts of the coast of Cornwall alone. When she got to St. Ives, she fell in love with the village and extended her stay there. That journey, and the folklore of Cornwall was part of the inspiration for this story, which is a sequel to her book, The Swanhawk. After she retired from dance, Alexandra worked as a forensic psychologist for 22 years in the State of Virginia. She has lived in San Diego California, New York City, Richmond, Virginia and several venues in Europe. Currently, she is retired and lives in Monterey, California where she performs in local musical theater productions and continues to write.
