The Witch of Rapunzel

The Witch of Rapunzel

Once upon a time, there lived a princess known as Rapunzel. A young girl who most believed was locked away in a tower, forced to wait in isolation until the day her knight in shining armour would come to rescue her. But when Prince Ethan finally arrived, he found that not all was as expected. For one thing, Rapunzel was not as alone as the stories told her to be. A terrifying, supernatural monster lived within her tower, one that held the power to destroy Ethan’s entire kingdom if it were to be set free. If Ethan wanted to save the girl, he would have to travel far and wide in search of powerful relics that could aid him in destroying the monster, while being closely followed by a woman who was more demon than human, and a spirit whose help he wasn’t sure whether or not to trust…The Witch of Rapunzel follows Sir Ethan, a young prince who is trying to prove himself worthy of being appointed to the title of king by completing a quest to bestow honour upon himself and his family. Upon the recommendation of an old mage, the prince takes his finest knights on an adventure to save the long-lost Princess Rapunzel from the tower she is supposedly locked within, as well as from the beast beneath that holds her hostage. However, he soon finds out that the stories he was told of Rapunzel weren't quite as accurate as he had hoped. For starters, she was never alone in the tower as was prophesized. Within her tower lies a monster of untold magical potential, a monster that must be destroyed at all costs, lest Ethan's kingdom be torn asunder. With the monster angered by his arrival, Ethan must travel through a dangerous forest, across the seas to a mysterious island, even within the soul of another, all to acquire a set of ancient relics, as well as a devastating spell, that will bestow upon him the power he needs to defeat the monster of Rapunzel's tower. Along the way, he is aided by an ancient spirit of unknown origin, though he knows not whether this creature is helping him to be kind, or to lead him to a darker path. While gathering his tools, Ethan encounters several monsters who wish to put an end to his quest, including a forest spirit who can manipulate both nature and the minds of men, as well as a black horse, who hides a dark soul and several hidden powers that have led to the deaths of hundreds of knights. The battles are written with a mixture of genuine martial arts techniques and concepts, as well as the creative use of magic to construct an exhilarating blend of violent acts. This story contains violence, gore, dismemberment, death, and bad language. Do not read if you are underage or dislike any of the aforementioned attributes.
