Some people are destined to know darkness. Jeremy Fowler's imaginary friend has begun talking to him again. "The Voice" was supposedly cured many years ago after a violent episode in middle school, which resulted in years of therapy. Now, he has graduated from college and begun his own landscaping business. He's handsome, respected and outwardly "normal." Life should be great. Except, he sees the wary glances people still give him in his little hometown of Calvary, Tennessee. All he wants is to be like everyone else. Soon a chance encounter with a strange young woman precedes a reawakening of The Voice from Jeremy's childhood. It comes alive again like a volcano which had been dormant for too long. There are other dangerous and disturbing events happening and he begins to believe it is all connected to Hadler's Woods and to the witch that supposedly lives there. Hard decisions are ahead and learning the truth of The Voice will endanger both his life and his sanity.
