Dwano is an ocean-side community in Northern California built on a solid belt of granite. It got it's name by a demented mayor who could not pronounce the letter, "r," and it was forever mispronounced. He meant, "Drano," because of the city's intricate sewer and water system. The system is like a wild roller coaster ride in a well known theme park. Dwano's technology is strange. They now have cell phones (one per household.) And they still have computers. Delbert Fudpucker is the town's only plumber and he is madly in love with his wife Sassifrass Frumple Fudpucker. There is a house which is owned by the friskiest couple in town. The Woods' house was bought from a traveling wizard when they first got married. It resembles a leather boot. They have numerous children. Critters in Dwano tend to be more than twice their normal size. Scientists have yet to figure out why.Delbert and Sassy find themselves in absurd situations which question the relativity of time. It is simply because Dwano is and always will be an Island in the fabric of time.Katy Sue, now older, cleans a the biggest house in Dwano which is reported to be haunted. She also falls in love. Ghost hunters come to Dwano to investigate. Sasquatch hunters also investigate the Woods' Woods in Dwano.
