From the Back Cover

The Dreu War has ended. The last of the Dreualfar armies have been rounded up or forced into hiding. The surge of energy that washed over the lands, effectively ending the war, has the people of Dalmoura frightened and on edge. Opportunities arise, seized by the ambitious, shifting the balance of power from old to new. In the depths of the catacombs, Izaryal's forces begin to manifest through the newly opened gateway, calling out for any who will listen. Their corruption broken, a new race emerges from the defeated Dreualfar, remnants of their past brought into a new age. Recognizing them for what they are, Ravion moves to restore his people's legacy, entering into a new role. Kane struggles to remember who he is, fighting the darkness inside him, while Gareth learns to deal with his disability, testing his limits in new and inventive ways. In the sands of Tulgar, Krenin makes a name for himself, each battle playing toward his freedom. Battered, but not broken, the warriors discover a threat greater than any they've faced before. One that could very well end life as they know it. Against all odds, and completely unprepared for what they must do, they seek to find a way into Izaryle's prison, where they can cripple the god himself. In this epic sequel, the heroes face off against the forces of darkness, trapped in a world they don't understand. Will they emerge victorious? Or will they succumb to the shadow engulfing them? Through pain and perseverance, they will ensure their enemy remembers the name, The Order of the Trident!

About the Author

From an early age, Samuel Rikard was drawn to the realm of fantasy. Monsters and magic, or starships and warlords, there was nothing too farfetched or out of reach. In his early teens, he was introduced to Live Action Role Play. Finding this new and exciting world, he felt at home. Before long he began writing, first details about his characters, then short stories or in-game missives. Developing his style, he found a joy for the craft but never realized it would one day become a career. After high school, he joined the military, where he trained exclusively with demolitions. While blowing stuff up was fun, it wasn't the life he was after. When able he returned home and began the quest for happiness. With his love of storyline, he decided to write a book, though he knew nothing of the craft. Through chance, fate, happenstance, whatever you want to call it, he made some professional contacts and began to learn the industry. Proving his dedication and ability to get things done, he was offered a contract. One turned into two, and two became three. And before long he had a full list of industry professionals at his side.Sam lives in Southwest Missouri with his daughter, Breanna, and their cat, Alona.Stay up to date with all his public appearances and new projects by following on Facebook.com/authorsamuelrikard or Twitter.com/sam_rikard, or visit his website samuelrikard.com
