The Traveler

To the Reader: I have put together this collection of short stories into a book. Some of these stories are based on people that I have known or have been acquainted with, while others are complete figments of my imagination. None of my characters are real persons living or dead. The following stories, which my readers have liked the most, are separated into three groups: Special and Peculiar People Stories, Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural, and Science Fiction Tales. My Special and Peculiar People Stories contain normal people in special situations. You will meet story spinning townsfolk, hoarders, dieters, a childlike boxer, and a pizza deliveryman with a laughable criminal past. Perhaps you will know people like them as well…or you just might find something of yourself in one of these characters. The Tales of Mystery and the Supernatural conjure up sea monsters from the ocean's depths, ghosts seeking help and some seeking vengeance, a body revealing secrets from the grave, and a cable guy with a penchant for the chivalrous days of old. My Science Fiction Tales will take you on a voyage from a small drop of water beneath a microscope to the moons beyond Neptune's orbit. You will contemplate the future of robotics, accompany a detective on his search for a ghostly criminal, and stop to think about the next piece of chicken on your plate.
