From childhood, Chimezie showed the penchant for a life of luxury. Born by poor parents, but he tried to live like a rich man’s son. Plus, he had eyes for women. At secondary school, he enjoyed his life, but it was at the expense of good grades. Soon after school, he acquired a skill as a shoemaker, and he was very successful in the enterprise; but his income could not afford him the level of luxury he wished for himself. Driven by greed, he was on the lookout for any shortcut to wealth. Then, he came across an old friend, who had become very wealthy: the friend showed him the way to quick wealth. Chimezie embraced the opportunity, but it was a dangerous path to tread on. He overcame his fear: he trod on the path that men fear to tread on, and became wealthy. But before him was the father of all prices: to sacrifice his parent or lose his own life. He chose to offer his mother, but nemesis caught up with him: a strange fire burned him to ashes.
