Wynn Greenbough has settled into to his new life in Colonial Bay. In spite of it being the beginning of the Great Depression, he and his friends are starting to make their mark in the world. Then tragedy strikes, and Jimmy Babcock is found dead of an apparent suicide. But a message from an unexpected source puts Wynn on the hunt for the answers to some hard questions. The more answers he gets, the more questions they generate. Was it really suicide? Who was this strange woman, Zillah Lamech and what did she have to do with Jimmy? How was she connected to Wynn's mother? What is the meaning of the powerful mysterious horned skull sent to Wynn from beyond the grave? Why was someone sending the restless dead to kill Wynn and his friends? These questions lead him from Jimmy's Apartment, back to the dubious safety of Joe Drew's bookstore, then to the campus of the local university, and finally to the deep mountains of West Virginia. There he, Eddie, and George begin their hunt for the mysterious Elu, and their stronghold. With the aid of an unexpected ally, the three are able to bring her to bay, but a twist of fate forces Wynn to make a hard choice. Return with us to Colonial Bay to the magecat, Wynn Greenbough, and his friends for another exiting adventure told in the same style as the pulp adventures of yesteryear!
