In this book, Mary Shelley introduces us to Victor Frankenstein, a student of natural science who becomes fascinated by the secrets of Life and Death. In his zeal to unlock these secrets, he successfully brings to life a new species of man created from pieces of corpses and other organic matter. Horrified by reality of his own Creation, Victor rejects the newborn Creature and flees - leaving the Creature alone and confused.
