About the Author

My name is Marjorie Dorfman, but I am also surreptitiously known as MDee Dubroff. I am a freelance writer and former teacher who was born,bred and poly-unsaturated in Brooklyn, New York, where, it is oftensaid, anything can happen. (and often does).  I am a graduate of NewYork University School of Education, and my first love is writingghostly, dark humor and horror fiction.  I also enjoy writing historical narrative and creative non-fiction. A humorous thread  is sprinkledthroughout my five short story collections. I awaken everymorning about 2:45 am as my first job of the day is to wake up thebirds. I have always been an early riser, but there's no question thatthis is somewhat ridiculous. But it is also a quiet and peaceful and atime of day that for me is very productive.
