Tales from Beyond the Darkness

This macabre mélange of mostly ghostly tales is not recommended for the faint of heart. These stories explore the netherworld of human depravity, nightmares, conscience and retribution and expose the ethereal realms of lost love and human anguish. They will make you think a bit about where we are in our evolutionary process and worse, where we may be headed. Enjoy, but proceed with caution, dear reader, and maybe with the lights on as well...

From the Back Cover

Follow the haunted trail of Nathan Dealey, a mediocre artist who becomes a genius after he inherits a pair of gloves that once belonged to Toulouse Lautrec. Meet negligence lawyer, Martin Baravale, out on the ledge of his law office building where he encounters his own conscience. These and other tales from both ghostly realms and conventional settings are unsettling and disturbing, and hopefully they will evoke serious questions as to where the human race stands in this mysterious universe.

About the Author

Marjorie Dorfman, who is also surreptitiously known as M Dee Dubroff, is a freelance writer and former teacher who was born, bred and poly-unsaturated in Brooklyn, New York, where, it is often said, anything can happen. A graduate of New York University School of Education, her first love is writing ghost and horror fiction. A humorous thread runs through many of her tales, as evidenced in her zombie parody, Are We Dead Yet?  and other dark-humored stories that are sprinkled throughout her numerous short story collections.
