The Salute holds very dark secrets. Anyone that becomes associated with her encounters strange and mysterious events. Dick Frank's life changes drastically when he and his father Charles take over this old wooden fishing vessel. Gruesome accidents occur all too frequently on board. Does a curse loom over the Salute? CURSE OF THE SALUTE Stepping to where Pete's limp body hung precariously over the stern, he shouted "HEY". The waves were becoming more agitated now, making it difficult to balance. Dick was now beside Pete. He reached down to help Pete away from the rail. A strong smell accosted his nostrils as he drew nearer. It almost smelled like the blood from the tuna, but it was much more intense. That's when he saw it gushing from the back of Pete's head, and screamed.When people he cares about meet tragic fates onboard the old wooden 59' fishing schooner Salute; Dick Frank, commercial fisherman by birthright, must overcome obstacles both real and supernatural to end the macabre cycle of death that IS the "Curse of The Salute".

She has also worked as a wild land firefighter in Oregon, and as a fisherman on the actual Salute, out of a little seaside town called Charleston, in Oregon.This was the inspiration for "Curse of The Salute".
