Heaven's Due

Derek’s process of rebuilding his life following the breakup of his marriage comes to a halt with a near death experience that briefly pushes him to the other side! Derek survives, but somehow brings something from that other side back to his reality. Hallucinations and symptoms of a mental breakdown from the stress of his medical crisis and broken marriage begin to take a toll on the man who begins to encounter supernatural elements bent on taking him back to the next world! A terrible incident with Derek’s ex-wife brings the situation to a head as the man is arrested and then must overcome the system while fighting off a host of deathly harbingers wanting Derek’s spirit to cross over. A series of dreams and visions about the future give Derek a guiding light on how to overcome the evil phenomena, but it will take an act of redemption on his part to save not only himself, but the lives of those around him who have been unwittingly endangered by the man. Redemption for the man’s life comes with Derek’s survival of one harrowing night in which he grapples with a host of demons, both real and psychological in order to save the lives of both he, and someone unexpectedly close. Heaven called Derek home once already, now dues are owed, and someone must pay!
