Drew, a retired heavyweight boxer, thought the sudden storm taking their fishing boat was rough, but when he sees a silver, toothy tentacle rise high in the air from the sea and smash the boat to pieces, he knows the mysteries of the Caribbean Sea are surfacing, and these particular mysteries of the deep are hungry to torment and torture their living food. Drew is forced from the shattered fishing boat, and is saved by a crew member just before he drowns. Once on the lifeboat, Drew soon realizes that the nightmare has only just begun. Drew and his seven lifeboat crewmates face not only discord among themselves, but worse. A fight for survival adrift on a vast ocean, hunted by something enormous, vicious, and monstrous lurking in the hidden depths.
