About the Author

Brenden Christopher Gardner lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he teaches English by day and immerses himself in fantasy by night. During his formative years, he studied English literature, philosophy, education, and political science at the University of Toronto. He has always loved epic, medieval, and dark fantasy, and drawing upon history and narrative, he has crafted the fantasy epic, Ancient Vestiges. In November 2017, the first novel in the series, Darkness Rising, was published. Then in January 2019, he followed that up with a prequel novel, The Prelude to Darkness. Currently, he is working on his third novel, Chains of Fate, which is due out in 2022.
