Glump devises a wondrous scheme to do a Monsters on the Beach special swimsuit issue to help the cash-strapped Michael Paris. Never mind that Glump is hiding a much worse scheme within the scheme! On a darker note, Roxanne shows her true powerful demonic self resulting in a potentially deadly showdown with Abbey.
From Booklist
The third arc of Moore's cheery "horror" comic book rings more changes on the theme of the rent party. The big boxing match in Boneyard, v.2 (2003) having failed to raise what Michael Paris needs for taxes on his cemetery full of jolly monsters, a cheesecake photo-book project proceeds apace. This calls for the Boneyarders to decamp for the beach, but not to worry: Michael's vampire inamorata, Abbey, can bear the sun, thanks to 2,000 years of building tolerance--and liberal laving of 100 percent sunscreen. Many mildly amusing beach jokes later, this fund-raising scheme flops, too, throwing the bail-out ball back in the court of scheming Realtor Roxanne Allen, who once tried to buy the cemetery but now seems bent on seducing Michael away from Abbey. Of course, there's a showdown catfight comin', in which Roxanne shows her true colors. Hardly as funny as Boneyard, v.2, this installment succeeds as much as it does because of charming characters, amiable atmosphere, and Moore's cute, curvy drawing style.
