Sarah's father reaches out to a First Nations coworker for help, and to his surprise, he tells him that his brother is a sort of medicine man and would be willing to do a ritual on the next full moon. When that day comes, they all gather at Sarah and Cameron's house to confront whatever is inside. They hear footsteps coming up the stairs that they can't explain. Then, a concerned neighbor calls them over and asks if they have experienced anything unusual. He informs them that the house has been vacant for 8 years and, according to Jewish folklore, places abandoned for that long are susceptible to being inhabited by Dybbuks or malevolent spirits. Allison grew up in an extremely unstable household, literally and figuratively. Her dad bought the house and planned to fix it up himself, but he fell off a ladder while doing repairs a broke his neck. Inside her bedroom, there is a pit in the floor covered by a trap door that leads down to a hand-dug tunnel, inside of which she has a harrowing experience.
