Stan and Nancy are a newlywed couple, out on a camping trip in search for legendary healing stones. When darkness falls upon their first night deep in the woods, they cross paths with a terrifying creature that appears to be half-man, half-wolf. Scared for their lives, they run until they come across a secluded mansion. Although foreboding and appearing to be uninviting to strangers, they figure whatever is inside must be better than the creature in the woods. Invited to spend the night, they are introduced to Dr. Jesse LeChance, a handsome doctor of psychiatry and a genius scientist in his own right. The mansion is not only his home, but also the home to dozens of his patients. With his free-spirited methods of therapies, the patients are free to roam as they please with no rules. As their host, Dr. LeChance is vibrant, with a flair for the unique and strange, but more than once he reveals a terrifying dark side of himself. From the minute Stan and Nancy step foot inside the sprawling manor, they encounter several bone chilling surprises that have them questioning their sanity and their safety. In a mansion full of mental patients, it’s the doctor they may have to worry about. Through many ups and downs of his own eccentric personality, they can’t figure out if underneath it all, Dr. LeChance is the murderous, mad scientist he appears to be, or if he’s a tortured soul just like the dozens he’s trying to save.
