HELLVERSE: Shadows of the Abyss

Before the creation of our universe there ruled the deathless ones. Grotesque effigies, gods of blood and chaos. Life turned out at constant and without purpose. An endless cycle of flesh and feast. Hunger, lust, and war were the strings by which fate worked its inner weavings. From the gods came sacrifice, and the children they bore in the name of their martyrdom. Upon the blood ocean world of Tartarus came forth the progeny of the dead gods. As the children, godless and savage, spread across the stars so too did their fight for survival.In the dark void of space, spanning a thousand lifetimes, three races born from the remains of Tiamat waged war for dominance over their universe. The Abyss; creatures born in depths of the darkest shadow. The Seraphim; beings that traversed time and space while living amongst the corpse of their father. Mortals; brittle and cursed to wander the realms between life and death. From each race would come an assassin, ready to kill on command.Azrael, the demonic assassin of the Abyss sent to hunt and unknowingly cleanse his own kind against his will. Elizabeth, a human with ancestral blood, tied to the demons that swam the crimson seas of Tartarus. Moloch, the Seraphim angel of retribution by which millions perish under his holy flame. What fate lies between them is held secret in the stars. For all are equal to the throes of death in the Hellverse.
