Marty longs to be a knight in cosplay armor, but has been downgraded to lives-with-his-mom status. Following a bizarre frozen foods accident, he finds himself in the company of a fellow fanboy, albeit a dead one. Jamie is a ghost with unresolved issues, not the least of which is to catch up on a decade of missed Marvel movies. Unfortunately, he’s going to need some help from the living to identify what is keeping him earthbound. Between shifts as a costumed waiter at a themed San Diego restaurant, Marty must help to solve the mystery of Jamie’s death, get a toe over the friend-zone line, and come to terms with the psychic gift he never asked for. With the unexpected help of iconic creature actor Doug Jones, they conduct a public trial-by-geek that will go down in fan convention history.
