About the Author

Paul D.E. Mitchell is a mid-fifties writer who after being a local politician, programmer, builder and single father is now pursuing a dream to explore complex theological and scientific ideas in novel form and plans at least twenty books."I had wondered about the concept of parallel worlds where a destiny choice at a key moment - the lever, fulcrum and rotation of the first three titles - sends the whole of Creation onto a new path," he said in a recent interview. "I'm agnostic so I invented the Lewises and Sheppards to represent the yin and yang of existence and came up with the concept of Evolution as Intelligent Design where warfare and struggle advance species across the universe into higher and higher forms of life. The series of books have basically developed from there. The stories are complex and interwoven with the interactions and viewpoints of ordinary people drawn into the conflicts of the main characters that spawned yet more plots and ideas - leading to the Nexus series."He is also writing poetry (The Long Grim Book of Thin) and has just published his latest music book - the Ka-Ching Guitar Guide.
