Five Moons: Entangled

“Evil men conspired to have a starship destroyed, to disappear its crew forever. But the Anoza chose me to save the Five Moons. I didn’t know any of that when I bought a ship that was never meant for sale. I didn’t know when I first stepped foot upon its decks that I changed everything … But I know it now. And save Five Moons? Damned straight I will.” “I am Dallas Blake, outworlder to the nines. By the end of the war, I had lost everything. I bought the ship to start over. And you know that crew they thought was lost and gone forever? Well, think again. The crew and I go wherever we are needed. Making a difference starts with us.” “Mankind was cast into the outer darkness because of the evil in our hearts. So I have my work cut out for me. How about you? Would you like to make a difference? But I have to warn you: The action never stops for the crew of the Five Moons.”

From the Back Cover

Evil men conspired to have a starship destroyed tohide the evil they had done. They intended for its crew to disappear foreverwithout a trace. They flew an unmarked ship into space docks and marked it fordestruction. They thought that was the end of it, but in all of that chaos, theanoza found me. They chose me to save the Five Moons. I didn't know any of thatwhen I bought a ship that was never meant for sale. I didn't know any of thatwhen I first stepped foot upon its decks and changed everything ... But I know itnow. And save the Five Moons? Damned straight I will.I am Dallas Blake, outworlder to the nines. By theend of the war, I had lost everything: my wife, my daughter, my whole family. TheMercenary Expeditionary Forces under Sarsen Tabbot levelled my home world, sothere was no place left for me to return. I was left with no other choice butto start my life over.So I went to the Union Fleet space docks to buy awar surplus scout-class ship. Instead, I unknowingly bought the Tesseract. Theship was nothing I expected, but everything I needed. And you know that crewthey thought was lost and gone forever? Well, think again. Now my crew and Ifly from world to world, going wherever we are needed. Making a differencestarts with us.If you ask the other intelligent species, theywill tell you fast and quick that mankind was cast into the outer darknessbecause of the evil in our hearts. Just ask Captain Ravi Chandrakar, of theUnion Cruiser Star Jammer. I am sure he would agree with that. Especially afterthat ever-conniving gangster-turned-politician, Al Simmonds, brought the wholeregion beyond the Seven Pillars back to the brink of war. Captain Chandrakar isstill cleaning up that mess.Unfortunately, Al Simmonds is still out there onDaggan-7, conniving his next fiasco. And as for Sarsen Tabbot? She would tellyou herself, 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings.'So, as you can see, I have my work cut out for me.How about you? Can I talk you into putting on your recon armor, grabbing yourpulse-rifle, and joining us? Would you like to make a difference? But I do haveto warn you: The action never stops for the crew of the Five Moons.

About the Author

This is a true story...I got into a discussion with my nephew.  He is such a fine, good lookin' young man.  I should call him Face.  Can you dig it?  I knew that you could.  Anyway, Face says to me, "Uncle Bill you say that a lot." After I thought about it some, I wrote this.  Face, this is for you....I was thinking back to a time long ago... 1975... and I was watching Saturday Night Live.  Can you dig it?  I knew that you could.  And Billy Crystal was doing a skit 'bout going to a little club in the Village to see an ole friend, an ole jazzman.  He went backstage after they finished their first set.  An' you know, the years had been hard on the jazzman but he was still giggin'.  Can you dig it?  He was still giggin' after all those years.  In fact, he told Billy that he didn't have any teeth for a while, oh yeah, but even so, he was still out there giggin'.  Can you dig it?  I knew that you could.  The house was empty but, oh yeah, you know... that ole jazzman was gonna go out and do that second set anyway.  Can you dig it?  That ole jazzman still had a fire in his soul for the music after all those years.  Can you dig it?  I knew that you could.I guess you had to be there, you know, an' see it for yourself. An' it got me thinking, oh yeah.  You know I am not so young anymore, for sure.  An' just as sure the years have been hard on me.  I may have all my teeth, but parts of me don't work so good no more.  Can you dig it?  I knew that you could.  Even so, this ole wordman has never lost the faith.  Hell, I just started another novel.  After all these years, I still have a fire in my soul for the words.  Can you dig it?  I am that jazzman.  I mean, can you dig it... me.  I knew that you could..Bill Parker  Copyright © 2016 All rights reserved.
