Trail of Monsters

Zach Larson, host of the popular reality show Creature Hunt, has just finished filming another season and is ready for some relaxation. When he learns that his girlfriend, Autumn Hunter, is going away for a week on a work-related trip, he decides to get some work done on a book they’re writing together. In order to do some research for the book, he travels to parts of Washington and Oregon in search of cryptids that have been sighted in those areas. Following a tip from a friend, he sets out for Oregon wine country. Before he makes it there, he has an encounter that makes him realize he’s being followed by mysterious shadow people. Zach experiences a creature unlike any he’s actually seen in person, and the experience makes him even more determined to continue on with his journey. After reaching his destination, Zach hears stories of a dogman stalking the winery. He finds Bigfoot tracks that lead him to the owners of another winery centered around legendary animals. He also finds a winery employee as interested in cryptids as Zach is, and she becomes part of his investigation into the forest around the winery. By the end of his trip, Zach has found several creatures to write about, and must decide whether or not to bring home a piece of evidence that could prove the existence of at least one of the monsters lurking in the Pacific Northwest.
