Book two in the mind-bending journey of the beginning and eventual demise of Jesus Christ and his disciples while trying to earn mankind's birthright to Heavenly rewards. Judas Iscariot came from wealth and privilege to follow John the Baptist’s ministry, hoping to help remove the tightening grip of Rome on the lives of Israel’s people. With John gone and Jesus now leading the way forward, Judas is becoming nervous for the future of their movement in the political world. First it was just simple crowd pleasing tricks like turning water into wine, but then Jesus began healing the sick with a simple touch. Such supernatural abilities troubled many of the disciples because the predicted messiah was only supposed to be a man. Judas realized it was on him to stop Jesus before he went too far frightening the crowds that come to hear him, like he did in Gedara. And somehow, Judas had to get the rabbi to take the reins and continue John’s mission to clean up the corruption within Jerusalem’s government. But if Jesus refuses to lead, will he get John the Baptist freed from prison and let him resume ministry leadership? And the miracles, how does Jesus do these things if he wasn’t the son of God? Judas hopes to find out, and the answers he looks for might not be what he ever expected to begin with. Christ’s Rebellion is a six part series taking you on the mind bending journey of Jesus of Nazareth and his disciples from the beginning of his ministry until their eventual demise while trying to pull man out of the middle of a heavenly battle for acceptance from the very being that created them. This is not a simple retelling of the New Testament account, but instead an exploration in missing depths like perspective, politics, and the more human side of the participants that many Christians have come to cherish and strive to be similar to in their daily lives. It’s a new adventure filled with supernatural warfare, heart ache, and desperation between the creator and the created.
