Rivencombe is an old city, with many years of strange history written into ancient stones. Visitors tend to confine themselves to the upper city and the northern docks and markets. Most avoid traveling too deeply into the lower city. They do so with good reason, as this shadowed heart is not a place for the unwary. It is a place under the authority of the witches, and they keep their secrets close. Sometimes though, there are worse things than witches lurking in the shadows.The recent incident in the forgotten ruin has left both Kenna and Chloe unsettled and debilitated. As they slowly begin to recover their strength, there is troubling news from Rivencombe. Several people have gone missing in the lower city, and there has been a recent outbreak of unexplained fires. Despite the circumstances, the watch must find the cause of these phenomena before anybody else is lost. Yet weakened as they are, they might easily fall prey to the machinations of an inhuman killer.
