Five women meet for a reading of their grandmother's will, a fortune telling telepathic clairvoyant, who disappeared mysteriously two years earlier. During a seance they learn that one of them killed and buried her in the basement. Panic ensues as they try to figure out who killed her before their grandmother's ghost kills them all, while each one struggles with their own burgeoning powers. The amazing Ana, who has lived decades upon decades of an amazing life as a circus performer and an astrological advisor to world leaders and celebrities; poor Tiffany, who has none of her grandmother's gifts and struggles with her own choices and the men in her life; Chelsea, amazed at the gifts she has inherited and the power they have; Elaine, the number cruncher, who doesn't acknowledge that the numbers are visions; Rebecca, whose life, she doesn't realize, is a textbook example of the curse of the powers of the mind; and Beth, whose choices come to her in waking visions that she cannot tell from reality.
