The New Creation

The majestic projection unraveled before them like a mighty scroll. The screen before them flickered and fizzled, its white lights fading back into view. The images expanded before their eyes, then all around them. Grander and more glorious than before, the screen rolled out and expanded into the world around them. A canopy of light flashed and formed around them, wrapping them in the blanket of the world around them. Like an IMAX of epic proportions, scenes of woods and a nearby river faded into view to surrounding the woman and the little girl. A world of sights and sounds and even sweet scents rolling in the air came to life around them both. Stunned in awe, they both watched as sunlight covered every inch of the darkness of the void that once submerged them in a world of nothingness. The woman looked down at the little girl, giggling and grinning now. Her eyes lit up in joy as she turned her gaze up at the woman and took her by the hand. Birds sang around them in a glorious, by a gentle choir that sang them into a state of contented bliss. Trees loomed before them, bearing flowers and figs and other succulent fruits. Together, they formed a canopy of leaves that allowed but subtle rays of sunshine to greet them from the clear and sunny skies. The light bathed them in warmth, accompanied by the relief of a cooling breeze. The sun flickered from where it stood in its proud place in the skies. Its rays poured down in torrents upon a holy place on top of a nearby mountain.
