Cartagena Dreams is a novella within the fantasy genre. It follows the story of Detective Adam O'Neill who spent years fighting crime with the NYPD but subsequently moves to the small town of Espiritus. Adam escapes to Espiritus hoping to leave behind the trauma of seeing his partner shot. He seeks a slower pace of life but is plagued with feelings of anxiety and the fear of not reaching his potential. Though he is fixated on work, destiny brought back Martha, his one true love, into his life. An unplanned trip to Cartagena, Colombia, would reignite the old sparks of romance between these two lovers separated for years. Cartagena's idyllic setting creates a background for Adam and Martha to rekindle their romance. Sadly, danger knows no boundaries, even in a land of paradise. Adam faces his greatest challenge when asked to help solve disappearances within Cartagena. He battles an unforeseen enemy that will change his life forever.
