Claus, a young boy in the village, is faced with the rise of the plague known as Death’s Breath. Always believing he was an orphan, Claus soon finds out quickly just how close his father is. His troubles worsen as he encounters the one they call the Blood Walker, a man rumored to have stolen all the children away then feasted on their flesh, and picking his teeth with their bones. When Claus’ caretaker and only love Sally, catches the disease and attempts to kill him, his only option left is a forceful leave with this rumored murderer. However, their journey will not be easy because they must travel through the forest known as Soulblood Wood which is rumored to contain Death himself within. Will the two survive? Or will Claus be killed by Death or the man he is forced to travel with?
