Her most notable works include Miss Marjoribanks (1866), Hester (1873), The Mystery of Mrs. Blencarrow (1890), Kirsteen (1890), Queen Eleanor and Fair Rosamund (1886), and the ghost/supernatural works The Open Door, A Beleaguered City, and The Library Window.
