The Forest Has Ears

This is the first in a series taking you to a coven of witches. Witches that do battle ina very Mystical way. ‘The Forest Has Ears’ is a short story about a Witch Coven that is at war within itself. The witches are battling for the right to lead the coven. Karen is the heroine of the story. Her mother was killed by a rival witch for the title which should belong to Karen, but instead she is battling to save the lives of her husband and children.The witches have a connection to the forest and use the trees to protect themselves against evil. Now, far back in the forest, Karen and her small coven must trust the forest to keep the evil witches away from them. The fight is filled with secret powers that only the trees will see and hear. It is a fight to the death and Karen... may not survive it.

About the Author

Darrel Day has written and published 12 novels and writes in the genres of Suspense, Sci-fi, and biography. He has a published a biography for a victim of Domestic Violence titled "Stolen Years {A True Story of Domestic Abuse and Survival}" and a biography of a law enforcement agent.He is the singer/lyrics writer of over 100 songs and has produced a CD titled "SimplyD" that includes 13 of his favorite songs. Darrel has a great passion for the outdoors and spends as much time as life allows at a lake near his home. He takes what he sees and transfers the scene to the written word. Life experiences have given him the ability to feel what he sees and create a novel from it. Darrel continues to write and is presently working on publishing his 13th novel.
