Set in Darlington of the 1960's, a small group of teenage friends Mickey, Malk, Babs and Val become involved with the ghost of a murdered man who haunts Hell's Kettles before falling foul of a motorcycle gang where the boys become embroiled in debt and unlawful activities. They seek to find out the truth about the murdered man who's seemingly one desire is to return to the world of the living to once more be close to the love of his life who unfortunately also happens to be the sister of Jordie, the ruthless leader of the biker gang.
