Jeremiah Townsend didn't ask for the gift of healing. About the Author

J. Butler Cox is an award winning journalist and feature writer with a knack for creating ordinary characters thrown into extraordinary circumstances. He holds a master's degree in English from Lynchburg College in Virginia, where he successfully defended his thesis on the work of Ray Bradbury, and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Emory & Henry College, also in Virginia. As reporter at the Greeneville (Tenn.) Sun, he was the first person in the paper's history to win the Tennessee Associated Press Managing Editors' Malcolm Law Memorial Award for Feature Writing. He has also won numerous Virginia Press Association awards for reporting and feature writing.When not reading to his son, he enjoys bicycling, hiking, and motorcycling along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
