The Monarchy's most egregious problem, as anyone will tell you, is that it has too much history. Anything that could conceivably have happened probably has and the repercussions echo through the millennia. Now a mysterious presence from its ancient past appears to help Zhala in her existential struggle with the titans. The newcomer has much wisdom about the titans but their presence in the king's new capital is a distortion of reality that will not endure for long. And perhaps not even for long enough.The king's cabinet of family and friends will find themselves pushed to and beyond their limits in the fight for ther Monarchy. The young king will be given cause to question her purpose and right to reign. In the final conflict Zhala will have to sacrifice everything to save the Monarchy and its ungrateful population that she both despises and loves.
