This is one of the stand-alone tales which accompany “The Marlin Chronicles” series. It features some of the characters from the novels. Chronologically, it fits in just after "Whispers of Marlin": Book 3 of "The Marlin Chronicles," but it can be enjoyed at any time along your journey through the series. There are no great spoilers, but it includes a few references to events in the series affecting the heroine Stephanie, her best friend Jan and their colleagues, which readers of the main series will already know. Alyson Mountjoy created “The Marlin Chronicles” by using events from her own life (including many unsettling brushes with the paranormal). She has combined them with supernatural suspense mixed with mystery, horror, crime and romance, historical facts, tears and laughter, and a touch of fantasy. In doing so, she has created an ongoing and unique series of novels. “Mother of Marlin” is the first book in the main series.
